2h45 drive to Taba Marina, passport procedure. 1 H boat trip to Aqaba. Passports handed to Jordan customs at Aqaba , passports stay at Marina whole day. Drive to Petra 2h30. (10 min rest stop half way). 2 km walkÂ
to Petra Site (800 m desert, 1,2 km through canyon). Horse (included) or chariot both ways possible (50 $). Guided visit of site: Treasury, Royal Tombs, Court, Roman Theatre, Roman Street, Pharaoh’s Daughter’s Palace and other monuments. Free time and independent walk back to Petra town. Complete time of visit 3h. Lunch (buffet in a Restaurant , drinks not included). Drive back to Aqaba, arrival ca 18h30. short shopping possibility (shops accept LE and USD, quality alcohol and cigarettes available at tax free rates).
